Recruiting Process

This overview can help you understand Aqua Glass’ recruiting process, from submitting resumes to final interviews.  Please remember that Aqua Glass utilizes many different methods of recruiting and hiring new teammates.  The following is meant to illustrate only one type of recruiting method.

  1. Potential candidate submits a resume or application. 

Resumes can be faxed to (731) 632-2537 or e-mailed to tramsey@aquaglass.com .  Applications can be completed for open positions only at 320 Industrial Park Road in Adamsville, TN. 

 

  

  1. Resumes and applications are reviewed. 

The resume is only reviewed if there is an open position that matches the candidate’s qualifications.  Unsolicited resumes it will not be considered. 

  1. The recruiter identifies the best matching resumes and applications. 

Some items that we look for are previous experience, stable work history, and good work performance.  This is not a comprehensive list of items. 

  1. Interviews are scheduled.

The most competitive candidates for the open position are scheduled for an interview.  The interview may be conducted by video conferencing, telephone, or in person.  There are usually a series of interviews scheduled before offering the position to the candidate. 

  1. Human Resources contacts all candidates for notification of the results.

Human Resources will contact all candidates that were interviewed and inform them whether they were declined for the position or offered the position.

  • Medical Plan – We are self insured and administered by Health Partners.   Each area has a core medical plan with a pre-packaged level of benefits, out-of-pocket costs and available doctors, hospitals and health care facilities.  You are not required to select a Primary Care Physician under any of our plans, nor are you required to seek a referral before seeing a specialist.  
  • Aqua Glass Dental Plan – Aqua Glass’ dental plan is self insured.  Through this plan, teammates and their covered dependents can receive cleanings, x-rays, basic and major dental care.
  • Short-Term Disability Coverage – Aqua Glass provides short-term disability (STD) coverage to our hourly teammates at no cost, no election is required. STD continues a portion of a teammate's eligible earnings for up to 52 weeks if they become disabled as defined by the plan.
  • Salary Continuation Coverage Aqua Glass provides continuation of a salaried teammates’ pay for 90 days.  This plan is designed to replace your income in certain circumstances involving an illness, injury, or disability. 
  • Long-Term Disability Coverage – Aqua Glass offers Long-Term Disability (LTD) to our salaried teammates at no cost.  This plan is designed to replace a portion of your income (up to 60%) in certain circumstances involving an illness, injury, or disability.  This is effective after the teammate has been absent for 90 days. 
  • Life Insurance – Aqua Glass provides certain levels of life insurance at no cost to our teammates. Supplemental life insurance may be purchased at low group rates, teammates may choose from a variety of coverage plans which provide enhanced financial security to their families.
  • Health Improvement/Wellness Programs - Taking care of your health and the health of your family is an important part of being Well at Aqua Glass. Aqua Glass is proud to invest in our teammates by offering a variety of tools and resources to help you meet the health goals of you and your family. The health improvement/wellness programs are part of growing a healthy winning culture, keeping Aqua Glass a great place to work and giving teammates the power of knowledge to increase their power of prevention.   • Teammate Assistance Program– Aqua Glass’ Teammate Assistance Program is administered by REACT and is offered at no cost to employees and their household dependents. The program provides confidential, professional counseling with services including substance abuse, loss/grief, family communication, managing stress, parenting, and more for up to 5 visits; then you can continue your visits by paying your co-pay up to 20 visits.
  • Profit Sharing – This is a retirement plan based upon Aqua Glass making a profit for the year.  Each year that this occurs, money is set aside and placed in our profit sharing plan.  You must have five (5) years of service before you are 100% vested.
  • 401K - Participation in the 401K plan offers an easy way to save because your tax-deferred contributions are taken out of your paycheck through automatic payroll deduction.  Taxes are taken out only when you withdraw your money.  If you wait until retirement to withdraw your money, you may be in a lower tax bracket than when you were working.  You may choose among many investment options available through Fidelity Investments.  You decide how much to contribute - from one to fifteen percent of your income.
