Proper Care and Maintenance of your Aqua Glass bathing fixture

Gelcoat or Acrylic Tubs, Showers and Tub Showers

Proper care and cleaning of your new Aqua Glass bathing fixture is important to help maintain the high gloss finish of the tub or shower. We recommend a non-abrasive cleaner for general daily or weekly cleaning of your gelcoat or acrylic surface. Please do not use an abrasive or caustic cleaner as they may damage, dull or discolor the surface. Use of an abrasive or caustic cleaner may also cause the surface of the bathing fixture to become more slippery.

WARNING: For one-step care and general cleaning of your Aqua Glass bathing fixture, ask your authorized Aqua Glass distributor or retail outlet for Aqua Gloss®, a paste cleaner formulated especially by Aqua Glass. Aqua Scrub® cleaner is also available for those stubborn stains or soap scum. To give your Aqua Glass bathing fixture a glossy shine that will last up to 6 months use Aqua Shine® fiberglass liquid bath wax.

                   Gelcoat or Acrylic Whirlpools

The internal piping of your whirlpool must be cleaned regularly in order to reduce build up of dirt, scum and the like, in the tub's internal plumbing system. A thorough cleaning should be performed weekly even if you only use the whirlpool as a soaking bath without using the jetting system.

We recommend using the following clean and purge procedure at least every week, if the tub is used daily, or every third use, if used intermittently or occasionally.

1. Fill tub with warm water until water line is above the jets.

2. Add 1 cup of Electrosol Lemon Scented Gel - Advanced Cleaning Power dishwashing tablets (broken up). To save water, you may add the detergent to the tub after a bath use, detergent, or 3 tablets of Palmolive Triple Action T before draining.

3. Run the whirlpool pump and jets for 10 minutes then drain the tub.

4. Refill the tub with fresh warm water until water line is above the jets.

5. Run the pump and jets for 5 minutes.

6. Drain

               Important Cautions or Exceptions

Use of a Rubber Floor Mat - Although not recommended, should you choose to use a rubber floor mat with any Aqua Glass bathing fixtures, please be sure to remove the rubber mat after each shower or bath. Be sure to wipe the bathing fixture completely dry and allow the rubber mat to completely dry before re-use. Prolonged use of a rubber mat without properly drying after each use may and can cause fungus or mold to grow underneath the suction cups therefore damaging the bathing fixture surface in the form of surface blisters in the bottom of the tub or shower. Your Aqua Glass warranty is void with the use of a rubber mat.
